Perrier-Jouët at Art Basel Miami—Composition Design for Luftwerk

For Art Basel Miami the design duo Luftwerk created an immersive experience for the champagne house Perrier-Jouët.

With Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero, Beth helped to deconstruct and reconstruct the original graphics from the Perrier-Jouët brand to create seamless wall and floor coverings alive with movement. The duo then added shifting colored light and a system of mirrors to create an ever-changing, totally-engrossing environment.

A motif is derived from the Perrier-Jouët logo. The flower creates layers of texture. The isolated center of the flower becomes a flurry of snowflakes. Multiple layers of each combine to create a rich sense of depth.

The pattern is matched at all edges and corners so the effect is seamless.

Luftwerk’s vision comes alive with their lighting design and installation of infinity mirrors.
