Beth Weaver is a designer and maker based in Baltimore, Maryland.
Beth began her design journey with a degree in theatre design. After a few years of practice she returned to school to study interior design. Beth was working in architecture when the Great Recession hit in 2008. She decided it was a good time to pursue a graduate degree, this time in graphic design.
After graduating Rhode Island School of Design with an MFA Beth joined the team at 3st where she combined her theater and architecture background with graphic design working for clients including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Jessica Lagrange Interiors, Maya Romanoff, and the International Interior Design Association. From there she continued to enjoy the intersection of architecture and graphic design as the design director of Contract magazine, one of the commercial interior design industry’s premier publications.
Beth was designing freelance for Plied Yarns when the pandemic hit in 2020. The shifting landscape provided the opportunity to be Brand and Operations Manager as the new company grew. Beth created the identity and website for Plied and continues to oversee all branding and marketing. She manages product and color development as well as inventory and production. You will also find her at the many retail shows Plied participates in every year. In the past two years the company has evolved to offer twice as many products and colors and is available across the country and beyond.
Over the years Beth has accumulated design experience for various freelance clients including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Luftwerk, Stoptime Live, ELAN Frantoio and many others.
